    Loved this!

My kids are OLD (lol…17, 19, 21), but I asked them recently, “Why did you all turn out so well? How come you never got into trouble of any kind during high school?”

Cameron (17): Because we knew you’d kill us. (My comment: Uh…not dad?” They all dissolved into laughter. Apparently not.)
Kristen (19): Jeez, mom. Because you drove us everywhere even after we could drive. AND you walked up to the house AND spoke to the parent AND “dropped” by after a couple of hours “to drop off brownies”…we knew you were really checking up on us.
Ian (21): Because we were terrified of you.
(lol – you betcha. I told ‘em early on in their sweet young lives that the Bible gave me the right to take them to the city gates and have them stoned to death. The weird part is that I never actually had to follow through with anything like that. Early respect and loads of supervision apparently nets really good kids.)

Check out my article called, “All Parents Love Their Children.” (alisagriffis.com). I’m a teacher – and I discovered that preconceived notions about parents…well…they’re just that. “Preconceived.” All parents love their children. :)
