I know I’m only on week one of the whole vegetarian thing, and who knows how long it will last, but any excuse for new kitchen gadgets sounds like a good excuse to me!
The Yoshi Blade (or any good knife) is a must have. You can’t cut vegetables with a dull knife. The Yoshi Blade is absolutely awesome, and affordable ($20) – it’s a ceramic knife. Just make sure you cut on a cutting board, or it will break like my last one did.
Food processor. I found the one above on Amazon for $30. My friend said it was a good one, so I’m going to try it out. There are others that range in price from $50-$100, but for now I’m going to stick with the $30 one.
A good blender. This “ninja” blender is only $31. You can probably find a decent blender at your local Wal-Mart for about the same price. I’ve found that if you shop through E-Bates, you can earn a % of all your purchases back so it’s like saving that % on the items. So if you have an E-Bates account, search for items through it. If you don’t have one, it’s free to sign up.
Blender bottle. These are great for on the go smoothies. It has a wire ball, much like a wisk, that keeps things mixed up. I got one here.
Slow cooker. I think most people already own one of these, but if not, it’s definitely worth the investment. I got a small one on Black Friday for like $10, and it works great!
Juicer. I haven’t bought one of these yet, but it’s on my wish list. You can find one for as little as $40, or as much as $400! To get all of the nutrients out of fruits and veggies, this really is a must have.
Steamer. This one is also a rice cooker, and happens to be only $35. Definitely on my wish list!
